Ever since I realized that weather idioms actually apply here, I have been ridiculously looking forward to “May flowers”. April showers were kind of depressing, but I just kept reminding myself that it must be a precursor of glorious flora.
May did not disappoint.
I just took this picture this afternoon. I didn’t get the chance to do any fancy shots because it immediately started to rain again. On every corner there are tulips and daffodils and wild roses and lilies. I finally understand Burt’s line: “The daffodils are smilin’ at the dove.”
After months of monochrome, there is finally color and life!
