I don’t know how I did it

by Sarah Luna

My roommate and her boyfriend moved out yesterday. Amanda is still in Africa. The new roommate is still in Oregon. It’s just me and Cassie the kitty.

I’m lonely here in this big house. I don’t know how I lived one whole year on my own. Maybe it was easier because the apartment was smaller. Or maybe it was because everything was so new. Or maybe because I came here alone. In any case, it’s harder to be in this house by myself than it was to be in the apartment.

I read for six hours straight when I got home. It’s funny that after a day of being paid to read, I would choose to read on my own. I only stopped now to make dinner.

I’m definitely glad to have roommates come back soon.
